Settings

Under the Settings section of the platform, you will be able to find your profile Information, Preferences, and Security settings.

To access settings, click on the Settings button located in the bottom left corner of the navigation bar.

Information

The Information tab contains general information about your account.

You can select your preferred translation language from the dropdown, which will provide translations for lab summaries, instructions, and Knowledge Base articles.

You can choose your preferred language for the keyboard layout, and this setting will be applied across all labs.

Ensure the Email Notifications toggle switch is ON to receive email notifications about your upcoming Tournaments, Assigned tasks, and updates.

You can also generate a new nickname to use on the platform by clicking the refresh icon. These nicknames will be displayed on team leaderboards and tournament leaderboards.

What Email Notifications Will I Receive?

We recommend that you enable Email notifications on your profile, as mentioned in the Information section. Once enabled, you will receive notifications about:
    1. Tournament invitations.
    2. Tournament reminders.
    3. Assigned activities (Learning Paths or Lab exercises).
    4. Reminders for assigned activities.
    5. Reminders for expiring assigned activities.
    6. Reminders for expired assigned activities.

    Preferences

The Preferences tab lets you select your job role, the technologies you are familiar with, and your favorite technology. Based on your preferences, Lab exercises will be recommended.

    Security

The Security tab lets you change settings related to authentication. Depending on your organization’s setup, the options under the Security Settings tab will differ.

    User login with SSO

If your organization has enabled Single-Sign-On (SSO), users will be required to log in using their SSO credentials.

    Notes
Note: Two-factor authentication (2FA) is disabled by default under the Security Settings Tab for organizations that prefer SSO.

    User login without SSO

Users without SSO will be required to use credentials native to the SecureFlag Platform to log in.

For the first login, users will be provided with temporary credentials that must be changed after logging in by navigating to the Security Settings tab. The user will be provided with an option to change their password, after which they can enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA).

    Notes
Note: We recommend enabling Two Factor Authentication (2FA) under the Security Settings Tab by users who do not have SSO configured.
