A tournament is a time-boxed challenge where participants will compete against each other to raise security awareness throughout the organization by completing a series of Labs and earning points to climb to the top of the leaderboard.

In each lab, participants must identify the issue, locate the vulnerable code, and fix the vulnerability.

Depending on the preference of the organization, a tournament could last 3-4 hours or several days. During the initial stages of the platform integration in your organization, tournaments can be used to quickly identify security champions within your teams.

Click on the Finished Tournaments tab to access the results of any previous tournaments in which you have partaken.

How to Participate in a Tournament

Step 1:

To begin with, a Team Leader must assign a user to the tournament. Once done, the user will be granted access to the Tournament, accessible by clicking on the Tournaments button on the left navigation bar.

Users who have been provided access to a tournament will receive an email notification, so ensure your email notifications are enabled.

Notes
Instructions to enable email notifications can be found under profile information in settings.

Tournaments are time-bound, meaning each tournament has a start and end date/time. On the Tournaments page, you will also be able to see previous inactive tournaments under the Finished Tournaments tab and where you were ranked on the leaderboard.

Step 2:

Once the Tournament Labs section is active, a user can browse the tournaments available to them. When they identify a tournament of interest, the user can click on the Tournament Title and start one of the listed Labs by then clicking on the Start button found below each Lab.

How to Try a Lab Multiple Times in a Tournament

You might not be able to complete all the Labs in a tournament on the first attempt.

If you failed a Tournament Lab, you can launch it again by clicking on the Try Again? button. You will be able to launch the Labs as long as the tournament is active.

How to View the Results of an Inactive Tournament

Step 1:

Navigate to the Tournaments Page by clicking on the Tournaments button on the left navigation bar.

Step 2:

Click on the Finished Tournaments tab to list the inactive tournaments. Once you have identified the one you would like to view, click on the View Results button.
